Doan Distillery was started in 2020 after owners, Susan and Christopher LaBonge decided to take time to appreciate life's little pleasures.
With this renewed focus, they shared time, cocktails, and many warm evening fires contemplating how they could work together on an endeavor which they were both passionate and would enjoy.
Chris is a serial technology entrepreneur and Sue an 8th grade English teacher, so skills rarely overlap.
However, when the day is over and things wind down, their passions become aligned. They relax and have a cocktail! (So should you...)

Howdy! We are MegaGreens Microgreens LLC, and we were founded with the principles of healthy living. We started growing micorgreens for just our family in 2020 and FELT the differences it made for us!
We are a family business and our family wanted to get healthy in 2020. Alot of our issues were found out to just be mineral deficiencies! We took supplements but it was alot, expensive, and didn't feel natural. That's when we found out about microgreens, and how their overcompensated nutrients could really make a difference.
In 2022, we decided to start sharing microgreens with the local markets and it has really been powerful! Come find us at the markets and discover the freshest and tasiest produce you can buy!
Polk Valley Farm was created in 2014, when our three boys joined 4-H.
We decided to find a way to use our excess milk from our dairy goats.
10 years later here we are making hand crafted goats milk soap and growing!
We are a 5th generation beef and pork farm. We milked cows up until 1990, then we sold the dairy cows and concentrated on beef and pork. My husband and myself along with our children raise all of our animals. We have a British White Park bull that we have running with our cows. Our calves are out in the pasture drinking milk and eating grass until they are several hundred pounds then they are brought in to finish, they are fed 75% of our own grown hay and 25% of our own feed. We grow our own grains and grind our feed. Our animals are given no shots or antibiotics. We send our animals to Springfield meats on California Road to be processed. We are proud to sell good quality meats, we have attended several farmers markets and sell cuts of meat right from our freezers.

R&B Apiaries, LLC, is owned and operated by Joe and Lauren Hutzayluk. The business is named in honor of Joe’s uncle, Rich, and Lauren’s grandfather, Barney, who were both beekeepers. For years, we had talked about getting bees someday; after taking a virtual beekeeping course during COVID lockdown we decided there's no time like the present! Our first two packages of bees were installed in 2021 and we continue to enjoy keeping the bees in our backyard apiary in Coopersburg. Caring for the bees and watching them do their work up close is a true privilege; the honey harvests are just a bonus. Come see us and try some truly local raw honey!

We are a family owned business since 2022. Anthony Vassallo is the owner, Neveen Vassallo does food prepping and the event coordinator, Luis Torres is the cook and makes the homemade Empanadas. We are a family unit that works together and started out with just a tent and tables and we saved money together to buy a trailer and make it our own. We have a love of food that we love to share amongst family and friends. We take pride in our variety of food options and the diversity. We always serve with a smile. All of our Empanadas are homemade and come with a side of sauce for dipping. Our Crispy Chicken sandwiches are served on brioche rolls. The chicken is a thin cut and is breaded and fried. The Falafel Wrap is a great vegan option except for the wrap itself. If you have a sweet tooth try our Apple Turnover Empanadas. We provide a friendly service and our motto is we don't want you waiting longer than 10min. All of our food is on the go.

Does one just wake up and say, "why don't I quit my day job and open up an ice cream shop?" Of course, not but, if you want something bad enough you go get it! So here is my story, don't worry I will try to make it short and sweet.
It has been a long dream of mine to open my own business. I grew up around entrepreneur's, from a housing developer to a small business remodeling company. I knew that was what I wanted to do. Be my own "BOSS".
I spent 20 years in the IT industry. The last 15 years I managed all hiring for primarily start up software companies. To make a long boring story short, I got tired of the corporate grind. I was ready for my true career, FUN career and MOST REWARDING career, The Udder Bar! But first, I had to convince my wife, Hayley.
I grew up in Allentown and spent a lot of time with my friends in the West End playing sports and riding bikes. Being able to bring a family friendly ice cream parlor back to my roots was a great way to start my dream.
So why ice cream you may ask? I LOVE ice cream ever since I can remember. My family and I would go out every week and try and find the best ice cream spots all year long. Fast forward 25 years. We found our favorite ice cream parlor in Cape May, NJ. A small family-owned ice cream parlor in a residential community that is just awesome! Every time we would go, I would walk out of there saying, "I can do this"! What started off as a joke was soon going to be my reality. Two things I always noticed, #1 all the employees where smiling and looked super happy working. #2 everyone in the store was smiling and happy, enjoying quality time with their family and friends. I wanted to open up an ice cream parlor, because ice cream is fun!!!
My mission for my store was to be different. Not just your average scoop shop. A place where you can hang out and play games and catch up with friends. A place kids can hang out after a football game. Remember doing that as a kid? I do. 8 months of research went in before our grand opening. There were a lot of things I did not know. One thing was for sure, I knew I wanted to bring back waffles and ice cream! Fun fact, The Udder Bar offers 4 kinds of waffles and ice cream!
Giving back to our local community is also very imported to me and my family. The reality of owning your own business I feel comes with a responsibility to support those around you. Every month we create an amazing Udderly Grateful Sundae that supports a local charity. 10% of the proceeds from that sundae goes back to them. We also hold fundraising events for local schools, hospitals, animal shelters and more.
What does the future look like? My goal is to have several Udder Bar locations throughout the Lehigh Valley! My wife and I have 3 kids. One store per child sounds about right.
Finally, thank you for supporting my dream and I truly hope to see you soon ordering your favorite scoop of my homemade ice cream.
Thank you,
Mike
